I'm in heaven!
I was in a really shitty mood leaving work yesterday because it has been really busy this week, and traffic sucked! Instead of grabbing a drink or a smoke (I quit smoking again this week!), I decided to go for a walk.
November 8th it opened at the Beverly Center, but I did not have the time to go by yet. Last night I did. I walked over from my place, and I ended up in heaven:
I have no money to buy anything, but just walking through the store made me feel so happy! It's finally here! In Amsterdam (and NYC) they have them at every corner (like Starbucks here) for years, but this one is now here, close by, huge, affordable, and just fabulous!
it was also so nice to go for a walk! Only LA is not a city where people are used to people walking, so I almost got hit by cars every time I tried to cross when i had a green walking light. Because in the States you can turn right at a red light, people only look to the left to see if they can turn, instead of looking for pedestrians crossing. At one point I literally had to knock on the window of a car, because she stopped right in front of my toes when I took my first step to cross.
I've been trying live a little healthier since I decided to go ahead with surgery on December 21st. So I quit smoking, eating less & healthier, exercise (walk, stairs, crunches, push ups) to be in the best shape possible pre-op.
Gotta go. For everyone celebrating Sinterklaas this weekend, have a great time!

Love me some H&M - always at the top of my shopping list when I visit NYC. Good luck on quitting smoking - take the $$$ you won't be spending on cigarettes and treat yourself to a new wardrobe from H&M. That way, you can convalesce in style.
