Mission Accomplished: Move Completed
It was nice living in Beverly Hills. I had the most famous zip code, 90210, the best neighbors (and the worst), lots of space for Sierra, many play mates for Sierra, always plenty street parking, beautiful apartment, and just a very nice neighborhood.
But I have no problem now of having left that place. I spend many weeks sorting through my stuff, the last week living in a empty place, cause the furniture of my room mate was taken out last Monday, and I spend a couple of hours cleaning yesterday to secure the entire deposit back. It is the end of some great time at that place, excellent parties, was able to get Sierra, met P. two months after moving in, and always had lots of laughs with Kyle.
I started a new chapter and I'm very excited and happy. P. and I settled in our place together. Its the first time for both of us, living with your partner. Of course moving is stressful, and there was some bickering, because we were both exhausted and wanted the move to be over. Friday night was the first place we slept at our place! On the ground cause the furniture was to be moved on Saturday. Saturday morning we rented a truck and had some friends help us move. I was pretty much useless with the big heavy stuff because of my knee. Vanguard, A & C+better half M. from P.'s old house, Almost Married J., were amazing and we are so thankful that they helped us, and then they are truly such good friends! Just as CTo is, cause she gave us a beautiful kitchen table and chairs which look very nice in our kitchen!
Sierra was very sad and upset the last week or so with my packing, and all the furniture leaving last week. She would cry a lot, loud, and weeping very softly...very sad. She is now the sweetest and happiest do ever! She is doing so good so far! She had no problem adapting to the new place. We both her a nice new bed (a huge dog pillow), and she is probable just emotionally drained by the move. Hey, moving is one of the most stressful things, right up there with weddings, funerals, and new jobs, and I'm sure it was a big ordeal for Sierra too.
We are now pretty much settled in. The place looks so nice! We still have to put our clothes in closets, pictures and art on the walls, putting food in the cabinets, and actually still buying groceries, and arrange our closets so boxes are on the tops shelfs, out of sight.
The apartment feels already very homie: nice light fixtures, Christmas tree, candles, and each other. The beautiful views are just spectacular: this morning we woke up with the most amazing sunrise! We are facing the east, and are up pretty high, so its just right! Out of our kitchen window we have a big tree to look at. the living room has a big palm tree to look at, and the bedroom have two palm trees, and a nice view of downtown LA.
Just to recap: we are very happy with the apartment and moving in together!
