The entire week now, Hollywood, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills are preparing for the Oscars today. There are limos everywhere, all hotels are booked, restaurants working overtime. For a couple of years I lived right next to the Kodak Theater, and it was hell, because all the roads were blocked. Now I live in the area where all the after parties will be. Very exciting and frustrating, because you can't go anywhere without roads being blocked.
Enough about that. Here are my predictions, and how I really think should win. I've seen almost all the movies (all acting categories), except Match Point and A Corpse Bride, but I'll give it my best shot...

Will win: Philip Seymour Hoffman (Capote)

Will win: Paul Giamatti (Cinderella Man)

Will win: Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) (The academy loves sweethearts being serious)
Should win: Judi Dench (Mrs Henderson Presents)

Will win: Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener)
Should win: Michelle Williams (Brokeback Mountain) (the Oscar shocker for this year might be here with Amy Adams winning for Junebug)
Directing
Will win: Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain)
Should win: George Clooney (Good Night, and Good Luck) or Steven Spielberg (Munich)
